Lego Creator 5766 Log Cabin Part 1

Back to building one of my favorite...buildings! This time round, it will be the log cabin from the creator series. I like the unique colors and the "lakeside" feel. Looks really good on the exterior but the interior is really bare. Perhaps I might add in some furniture in time to come.

I almost always am attracted to the default design of the creator series. The two alternatives are usually nice but I am too lazy to dismantle to rebuild......unless someone sponsors me another two sets...hmm...

Here's the cover art.

Don't you think the design is lovely and so laidback?

Slight damage to the box

The innards.

One instruction booklet for the default build and one for the other two

Three big and two small packets in total

Onward to construction!

The base pieces of the cabin and the bbq pit outside

Forgot the intermediate parts but here, the bbq pit and the fireplace within the cabin are done

A clearer iso view with the foundation and pillars all up

Added in the bright doors and windows

The fireplace close up (can see the actual space within is quite small)

 Will stop here for now!

Lego City 3367 Space Shuttle Part 3

Finishing it off with some shots...and poses!

Speaker: "Satellite locked in place, ready to deploy."

Astronaut: "Great! It's time to get suited up!"

Pose 1 on tail (silly!)

Pose 2 on wing (relaxed!)

Pose 3 on top (dangerous!)

Pose 4 standing (okey!)
And that's the end of it!

Lego City 3367 Space Shuttle Part 2

Back for round 2 on the space shuttle. Am busy (happily) fixing up a huge backlog of lego sets, starting with one of my 10xxx sets. Will blog about it in time (while still clearing blogging on past sets...phew!)

Introducing......

The hero who will take the satellite to space....Mr..er....what's your name again?

"WHY IS MY MUG EMPTY??!!"

Preparatory pieces to hold the rest together

Adding on the cockpit cover

Getting ready for the body cover

And getting ready for the tail of the shuttle, of course

Finish up the form factor

Inserting the covers for the body

Enhancements to the wing

The boosters in all its glory!

Glorification revisted!

Attaching the tail and booster covers

Will finish up the next time. Gotta go!

Lego City 3367 Space Shuttle Part 1

A birthday present for my younger boy a few months ago. Only got around to building it in August I think. As usual, I will involve my boys in the building process with me coming in only at the difficult parts. It was great fun and it was another finished product that they could play with.

Cover art and the packets first as usual

Impressive backdrop

Rear art shows the retractable arm and fun facts about a real space shuttle

2 big packets with a black base and stickers found inside

And off with the build slowly but surely......

Simple pieces to form the wings

The front console and pilot seat (with mandatory mug)

When both come together, it forms a nice base to build upon

Overhead view with stickers!

Another view from another angle

That's all for now!
